Terms of sale
Last updated : November 6, 2026
These terms of sale (“Terms of Sale”) apply to every order for paid Vata products or services placed online on vata.eco or from the app (custom NFC cards, NFC chip encoding, annual subscriptions) with Ochanta. They supplement the service's terms of use. Placing an order, after ticking the acceptance box before payment, means you accept these Terms of Sale.
1. Seller
OCHANTA, SARL with a share capital of €2,000.00
21 rue Alfred Cortot, 34500 Béziers, France
SIREN: 892 564 121
Contact: contact form
2. Customers
The Customer is an individual or a company, of legal age and able to enter into contracts, ordering for professional use or for personal use (a “consumer”). Provisions reserved for consumers are indicated as such.
3. Products and services
Custom NFC card. An 86 × 54 mm PVC card with an NFC chip, whose front and back are printed from the design created by the Customer in the configurator, with the QR code of their Vata card. Each physical card is linked to a free virtual Vata card created in the name of the person assigned to that card.
NFC encoding (option). Ochanta programs each card’s chip with the Vata card link before shipping, for €10 excl. VAT per card. Without this option, the Customer programs the card themselves, free of charge and in a few taps, from the Vata mobile app (Settings > Reprogram, then hold the card to the phone; available on Android phones).
Annual subscriptions. (a) “Additional users”: 20 more cards for the company, per block of 20, on top of the 10 cards included free; (b) “Installed cards”: up to 10 cards installed in the app of a single phone, instead of 3 free.
The main characteristics of each product are presented before ordering. Images and colors shown on screen are indicative.
4. Prices and VAT
Prices are in euros, excluding VAT; VAT at the rate in force (20% today) is added and shown before payment. The price that applies is the one displayed when the order is placed.
Custom NFC card, delivery in France included (unit price excl. VAT, depending on the number of cards in the order): 1 to 4 cards, €60; 5 to 9, €55; 10 to 24, €50; 25 to 49, €45; 50 cards or more, €40. NFC encoding: €10 excl. VAT per card. Subscriptions (volume pricing, applied to all blocks ordered): additional users, per block of 20 and per year, €30 excl. VAT for 1 to 2 blocks, €27 from 3, €24 from 5, €20 from 10 (up to 50 blocks per order); installed cards, per pack of 10 cards and per year, €10 excl. VAT for 1 to 2 packs, €9 from 3, €8 from 5 (up to 5 packs).
An online order covers 1 to 50 custom cards. Beyond that, or for delivery outside France, contact us for a quote.
5. Promo codes
A promo code gives a discount (percentage or amount) on the order total excluding VAT, under the conditions shown when it is entered: products concerned, minimum quantity, deadline, number of uses, use limited to once per e-mail address. For a subscription, the discount applies to the first year.
Codes cannot be combined, do not apply to orders already paid, and are neither exchangeable nor refundable. Ochanta may cancel a code or discount obtained through fraudulent or abusive use.
6. Orders
The Customer designs their cards in the configurator, enters for each card the last name, first name, job title and, if they wish, the e-mail address of the person concerned, checks the previews and legibility checks, then confirms and pays for the order. The order is firm and final once payment is received; a confirmation is sent by e-mail.
A Vata card is created for each card ordered (within the Customer’s company when they order from their account, within the limit of the cards allowed). When an e-mail address is provided, the person receives the activation of their account.
Ochanta may refuse or cancel, with a refund, an order whose design is contrary to the law or to the Terms of use, or in case of suspected fraud.
Access from the app. When the Customer opens the designer or the shop from the Vata app, by scanning a QR code shown on their computer or through a link received by e-mail, they get temporary access (2 hours) to their card, which lets their details be filled in automatically. Links work only once, must not be shared, and the Customer can sign out at any time from the designer.
7. Designs and content supplied by the Customer
The Customer is solely responsible for the designs, texts, logos, images, trademarks and data they provide. They warrant that they hold all necessary rights, and that this content infringes no third-party right and is not unlawful. They also warrant that they are entitled to provide the personal data of the people for whom they order a card, and have informed them.
The configurator’s legibility checks (contrast, print areas, QR code size, image resolution) are an aid, not a guarantee. The card is printed exactly as the Customer approved it: spelling, names, job titles, colors and layout are their responsibility. No additional proof is supplied unless agreed in writing.
Usual printing tolerances apply: colors may differ slightly from the screen, and the cut may vary by about 1 mm.
8. Payment and invoicing
Payment is made online by bank card through the secure payment provider Stripe; Ochanta does not keep bank details. The full price is due when the order is placed. If payment fails, the order is not processed.
The invoice, which itemizes VAT, is issued electronically and sent to the Customer’s e-mail address. Any discounts appear on it.
9. Delivery
Cards are shipped within (mainland) France to the address given by the Customer during payment, within 15 days of payment confirmation. Delivery costs in France are included. The proposed address may be taken from the Customer's Vata card details: the Customer checks and corrects it before paying. The Customer makes sure the address is correct.
If delivery does not take place within this period, a consumer may, after a formal notice left without effect for 7 days, terminate the contract under the conditions of articles L216-2 et seq. of the French Consumer Code.
The Customer checks the parcel on receipt and reports any problem (damaged parcel, missing cards) within 7 days through the contact form.
10. Right of withdrawal (consumers)
Custom NFC cards. In accordance with article L221-28, 3° of the French Consumer Code, the right of withdrawal does not apply to goods made to the consumer’s specifications or clearly personalized: cards printed from the Customer’s design therefore cannot be returned or taken back, except for non-conformity.
Subscriptions. A consumer has 14 days from subscribing to withdraw without giving a reason, through the contact form. As they ask for the service to start immediately, they pay an amount proportional to the service provided until they withdraw.
The right of withdrawal does not apply to business customers, unless the law provides otherwise.
11. Subscriptions: term, renewal and cancellation
Subscriptions are taken out for one year and renew automatically for one-year periods. Billing and payment are made automatically every year by Stripe, on the anniversary date, using the saved payment method, and an invoice is sent at each renewal.
The Customer may cancel at any time through the contact form; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period, with no refund of the period already started (subject to the right of withdrawal). Ochanta may change its prices for future periods, informing the Customer before renewal; the Customer may then cancel.
If a payment fails, Stripe retries it; if payment does not go through, the subscription ends. When a subscription ends, the free limits apply again: existing cards remain viewable but no additional card can be created or installed beyond those limits.
12. Warranties and claims
Products benefit from the legal warranty of conformity (articles L217-3 et seq. of the French Consumer Code) and the warranty against hidden defects (articles 1641 et seq. of the French Civil Code), which consumers may rely on.
In case of a printing defect, damaged card or faulty NFC chip, the Customer writes through the contact form, with photos, within 7 days of delivery (a period that applies to business customers; consumers’ statutory rights remain applicable). Ochanta replaces defective cards or refunds their price. Excluded are errors in the design approved by the Customer, normal wear and abnormal use.
13. Liability
Ochanta is liable, under ordinary law, for direct and foreseeable damage resulting from a breach of its obligations. Towards business customers, its liability is limited to the price of the order concerned, excluding indirect damage (loss of revenue, image or opportunity).
Ochanta is not liable for content supplied by the Customer, nor for delays attributable to the carrier or external events. Provisions on the availability of the Vata service are in the Terms of use.
14. Personal data
To process the order, Ochanta uses the data of the Customer and of the people assigned to each card (last name, first name, job title, optional e-mail address, delivery address), as well as, for payment, the data managed by Stripe. It is shared with the providers strictly necessary (payment, e-mails, printing and transport). Details, retention periods and individuals’ rights are in the privacy policy.
To make reordering easier, the approved design is kept and linked to the Customer’s account; they may ask for it to be deleted through the contact form.
15. Intellectual property
The Customer keeps all rights in their content and grants Ochanta and its printing providers the right to reproduce it to make and deliver the order. The card templates offered in the configurator may be used by the Customer for their own cards; they remain the property of Ochanta and its licensors. The fonts offered are under free licenses.
16. Force majeure
Ochanta is not liable for non-performance or delay caused by force majeure within the meaning of article 1218 of the French Civil Code (for example strike, carrier failure, supply disruption, widespread network outage). Deadlines are then suspended.
17. Governing law, mediation and disputes
These Terms of Sale are governed by French law. In case of a dispute, an amicable solution will be sought first; you can write to us via the contact form. If you are a consumer, you may use a consumer mediator free of charge. Failing agreement, the competent French courts will have jurisdiction; for business customers, the courts of the district of Ochanta’s registered office, subject to mandatory rules of jurisdiction.
18. Changes to the Terms of Sale
Ochanta may change these Terms of Sale. The Terms that apply to an order are those in force on the date of that order, available on this page with their update date.
